We spent a week at Ted's place on the Lake of the Ozarks again,
and we decided to do some sight-seing.
So one day in August 2003 Tom and I and Ted and his friend Doris drove
along the Lake of the Ozarks, to Gravois Mills.
Just a little north of that is the entrance to Jakob's Cave.
Which is the biggest of four caves in the lake area.
It's nice and cool inside, you need a jacket in there. Well, Ted refused to
put his on - and got punished for that: he scraped his head along the ceiling
inside the cave.
You will see many impressive formations in that cave.
And evidence of three earthquakes, bones of prehistoric animals,
and some very cute little red lizards living in the dark.
